All work & no play makes Jack a dull boy....or something like that! as for us I would say that we were being unfair to our bodies & minds - both were screaming for their dues & haq!

After months of such hectic & stressful lives for us, time to unwind!! so we decided to use the one night complimentary stay at Sheraton Imperial. Checked in 26th & out 27th, hoping for total & quality time with the kids.. whoever's around, that is.

'Arif & Ahmad were still in Kersani, back sunday insyaAllah. 'Iffah still in UTM struggling with her submission :( So there were only 'Atif, Ulfah, Zharif & Filzah. And 'Atif was to go to JB for X-pert that night.

Lan dropped us around 2 pm, before rushing off to his meeting, somewhere...

Our room number was 2711.

Here's what greeted us when we entered the room..

Wahhhh... large flat screen & a dvd player! perfect! We brought along 'Sang Murabbi' that we bought during the PPN. Our plan was to watch it on the laptop.....but with this...

We spent the afternoon watching 'Sang Murabbi'. MasyaAllah, it really touched our hearts & left us blurry-visioned towards the end... May Allah showers His blessings..

That night we sent 'Atif to Surau Unisel, Shah Alam for a short briefing,before the 11.15 pm bus took them to JB for the 4-day programme.

ANUGERAH (1) - ZHARIF

8th November 2008 - one busy day! There was Aam's wedding to attend. But before that we had to stop in Pandan to attend Pak Yem's daughter's wedding. Pak Yem is the Chairman of Sukarelawan Hospital Ampang. All sukarelawan/sahabat hospital were invited. We were one of the first few to arrive, almost 12 noon on the dot!!

Before that we were at Zharif's Ihtifal in UIA.

Funny he was chosen the Best Level 1 student for the year! The teachers thought so too!! He's such a good boy in class! All work meticulously done, completed on time, quiet, obedient, helpful.. ahhh... all the good traits, that earned him the award!! Yan & K Mala couldn't quite believe it, knowing the way he jumped & ran around, shouting and all, during usrah!! hehehe

So during the Ihtifal, he got to wear the graduation robe & mortar. & he wasn't even graduating, yet!

That's my boy! alhamdulillah...

hear ye, hear ye "Allahuakbal" !

well, K Long's was "kabak..kabak..."!

& 'Iffah's " Alahuakbal alaaaaahh.."!

ANUGERAH (2) - ULFAH

It was with a heavy heart that I left home Saturday night to attend K Long's convo the next morning. For on the very same day, Ulfah was called up the stage to accept her excellence award. It was to be a proud day for her, with us cheering her on.. but it was not to be.

We would definitely not miss it for the world, tapi apakan daya.....

In the years that the children were at school, we would always be there on their special ocassions, right from their kindy days to secondary schools - ihtifal, sports day, takrim, report card day, etc....We would both be there! well, we both tried to be there, if not throughout, at least during the important moments, but most times we'd be there giving our full support.

So having to miss this really broke my heart, what more this was to be her first Takrim. She missed the previous two though we believed she would have gotten one were she in al Amin KL. The system was different.

Now that she got it, we were not around!!

Alhamdulillah,with Mok su & 'Iffah around, we believed it turned out alright, judging from the pictures taken. Thank you 'Iffah! Thank you Moksu!

dengan kawan ketat, Asma'! sama-sama bijokk!! hehe

hmmm...... dapat apa ek???

yesss!! alhamdulillah!boleh guna tahun depan.

ANUGERAH (3) - K LONG

23rd Nov 2008 was a big day for us, alhamdulillah

K Long & her anugerah + Ulfah & her Takrim. Last 3 weeks was Zharif & his best student award. Alhamdulillah, all these are possible only with His grace & rahmah. May all our children grow up to be al-muttaqeen, who will strive to uphold Islam, biiznillah.

If a picture tells a thousand stories, then pictures wil tell a million...

One was not listed: Pelajar Terbaik 2 Diploma Serentak - making it 4 in all
And we thought all K Long got were just plaques & certs..... there were ENVELOPS too!!!! :)

Alhamdulillah...it was worth all the rush,rush,rush......

And this is K Long's acceptance speech, read by Has, which had me in tears... and the vidoeman came right infront, zooming in on my teary face..kurengggg!

Alhamdulillah, bersamalah kita panjatkan syukur yang tak terhingga kepada Ar-Rahman kerana hanya dengan izinNya, saat ini tiba.
Tak pernah saya jangka bahawa konvokesyen pertama saya disambut jauh dari mata. Namun Alhamdulillah, saya percaya keadaan ini ada hikmahnya..

Dengan membayangkan senyuman bahagia anda semua sudah cukup untuk saya rasa gembira dari kejauhan.

Saya titipkan kata-kata ini di bumi Adelaide, South Australia beberapa hari sebelum peperiksaan akhir tahun. Saya berdoa agar Allah memelihara & iringi kata-kata ini dengan barokahNya.

Izinkan saya memulakan ucapan ini dengan penghargaan...
Pertama dan paling utama—Ummi dan Baba yang saya cintai.. Tiada sokongan yang lebih besar dari sokongan kalian berdua. Kalianlah yang sebenarnya lebih berhak mendapat segala anugerah ini. Ketahuilah, tiada yang lebih ‘kaklong’ banggakan dari mempunyai kalian sebagai ibu dan bapa.. Terima kasih ummi.. terima kasih baba..

Buat keluargaku, Nenek Cek dan Atuk Ayah.. adik-adikku ‘Iffah, ‘Atif, ‘Arif, Ahmad, Zhorif, Ulfah dan Filzah.. dan suamiku, Safwan.. Kalianlah yang sentiasa menghadirkan senyuman di bibir ini. Kalian jugalah pemangkin untukku terus berusaha..

Seterusnya, buat semua pensyarah yang saya hormati lagi kasihi.. Tak dapat saya gambarkan betapa saya menghargai kalian. Sesungguhnya segala ilmu dan didikan kalian menjadi bekalan untuk saya meneruskan langkah. Tiada satu yang sia-sia.. Terima kasih pensyarah-pensyarah Jaiputra..

Hadirin hadirat...
Selama 3 tahun saya berada di Jaiputra, terlalu banyak ilmu dan pengalaman yang saya perolehi. Dari Bunut Payong ke Kem Kijang... Dari 2005 hingga 2007... Dari umur saya 18 hingga 20 tahun... Sememangnya banyak kesilapan dan kesalahan yang telah saya lakukan.. Namun, semuanya menjadi pengajaran berharga dalam proses saya lebih mengenali erti hidup dan kematangan..

Ilmu itu tak datang bergolek.. harus dicari dan dikejar.. dan itulah apa yang saya dan rakan-rakan lakukan sepanjang berada disini, dengan bimbingan dan tunjukajar warga Jaiputra yang saya kasihi.

Kini, saya graduan Jaiputra,Alhamdulillah!

Pada rakan-rakan para graduan semua, saya ingin mengucapkan “Selamat Maju Jaya” . Moga langkah-langkah kita seterusnya sentiasa dalam redha Nya.

Kepada adik-adik yang masih mengejar cita-cita, teruskan perjuangan anda!

The thought of the long journey ahead really bothered me, what with the tired driver - mind & body. This time there'll be no stopping in Lipis as we had to reach home before subuh. Some bright ideas did cross my mind while contemplating what to bring back!

Great minds think alike!
Lan came down and said " Let's take a flight back, am too tired to drive..."So i turned towards mok su & smiled broadly at her...extra broad... hehe
Can we leave ALL behind?
Hah?
Errr.... zharif & Filzah as well.... you know, you can take them to the takrim tomorrow.....
yeah..yeahh....

alhamdulillah, all set!

err.... can u take them out shopping just before we go off to the airport? just to avoid Filzah making a scene, u know, she'll want to 'nak ummi!'.....
yeah..yeah...

so we made the booking with firefly....alhamdulillah.

and we waved them bye-bye as they were happily going out to the 2-ringgit shop! The 'big bucks' given should cover all expenses , eh!

Arrived at the airport quite early despite leaving home quite late.. no, we didn't speed! the traffic was ok, so it took us only about 25 minutes to get there.
Terminal 3 was in a great mess! security was almost non existant & we breezed thru.

We arrived in KB as scheduled...unfortunately we couldn't land. There was heavy rain & thunderstorm. After circling the airport a few times, the captain announced that we were heading back to Subang to refuel.... alamak....
they promised to take us back as soon as the weather cleared up, tonight hopefully..

By the time we collected our luggage, it was almost 1 am & reached Melor way past 2 am..
